How to merge a pull request: choose a merge commit, squash, or rebase

AngusGit offers three ways to merge a pull request: create a merge commit, squash and merge, or rebase and merge. Each one leaves a different history on main. You can turn them on or off in repository settings. The local cleanup command after the merge is different for each method.
