The merge page is green while the secret finding sits in another report — that is the bug. AngusGit does not run the scanner kernels. No Git LFS. AI review is not a merge condition. Jenkins can keep running jobs; the gate does not have to move with CI.
What is AngusGit?
The Code product in Xiaocan Cloud’s AngusKit: AI-native code collaboration. Repos, pull requests, and human review ship out of the box; scans are delegated to AngusSecurity. Source and review data can stay on-prem.
How does it compare with GitLab, GitHub Enterprise, and GitLab JH?
GitLab and GitHub Enterprise have larger plugin ecosystems. AngusGit is compared on shared identity, Security four-state merge gates, and MCP. Treat GitLab JH as self-managed GitLab. It is not “GitLab for China”.
Does Community include built-in CI?
No. Community has no CI/CD menu. AngusCICD is available on Team, Enterprise, and cloud.
Is Enterprise CI/CD YAML or visual?
Both. Put .anguscicd.yaml or a .anguscicd/ directory on the default branch, or create pipelines visually under CI/CD. GitHub Actions / GitLab CI can be imported, then must be rewritten to this schema.
Are security scans built in, or orchestrated via AngusSecurity?
Orchestrated through AngusSecurity. Engines are OpenGrep, Gitleaks, and Trivy. Git’s Security page is read-only and can feed branch protection. Connect it under admin if it is not enabled.
Is AI code review a merge gate?
No. Automatic AI line comments on PRs, and “AI Review required to merge”, are not delivered as merge gates in this version. Merge still depends on human Approve, status checks, and Security four-state results.
Is code traceability plagiarism detection or a requirement-to-deploy chain?
Traceability is similarity / duplication detection, not an automatic requirement-to-deploy chain. Issues link through #id in commit messages or PR descriptions.
What is the SSH port?
Git SSH defaults to 2222. Smart HTTP uses the Git app port 8803. Expose SSH only if you need it.
Is the UI bilingual?
Yes, Chinese and English. There is no mobile app. This version does not support Git LFS.
Does it replace Jenkins?
No. Jenkins only runs CI jobs. AngusGit is code collaboration; built-in CI exists only on paid tiers. If repos and review already live elsewhere and you only need jobs, Jenkins can stay.
Do Issue, Wiki, and Release ship out of the box?
Issues, Wiki, and Release are included. Wiki can be disabled. Bulk import from GitHub/GitLab pulls Git objects only—not the other side’s issues, wiki, or CI config.
